All the - are suppose to be taken out of all the html commands I put on this page. The / means close or ends the command right there. You always close the command when you are done with it.
These are the main four things you need when writing html. Also notice how it's closed with <-i>title<-/i> because that is how you will close everything. Below is the order you write up the entire thing. Inside the body is where you will put mostly everything you do, in the head is more advanced stuff like locating your site off of search engines and so on. This is the outline for the html and like I said before the body is where you will put ur information, the body is basically the window you open up and see everything on.

I'm guessing you don't understand the closing of commands, well this is how you open then close a command with stuff in it: <-p>Website making is very basic<-/p>.
This is how u write paragraphs <-p>.
To write in italics use this command<-i> and to underline you use <-u>.
<-marquee> is used to make moves slide from the right side of ur screen to the left side.
<-table> this is used to write tables and these:<-tr> table rows; <-td> table columns.
